Finally got around to watching Win Win yesterday (thanks to the impressive in-flight entertainment system on V australia) and I think it’s one of the better movies I’ve seen this year. Directed by Thomas McCarthy whose previous efforts The Station Agent and The Visitor were also really good.

I’ve been meaning to post about this recent-ish effort from Slum Village alum Elzhi for some time now. Clearly a talented emcee, he’s hit gold with this revisiting of Nas’ seminal LP Illmatic. He’s basically remade each of the songs, borrowing and adding to Nas’ original themes, cadence and rhyme schemes…
