Did you know there’s a Stanley Kubrick exhibit opening up at LACMA this Thursday? It’s in Members-only preview mode at the moment, and you can check out a few photos at C-Monster. It looks like a pretty comprehensive review of the director’s work, including still photography, and even some unfinished projects. There’s no emergency getting over there though, as it’s open through June 30, 2013.

Check out this short video with Flea, the legendary bassist from Red Hot Chili Peppers. It describes the Silverlake Conservatory of Music, which he helped found 11 years ago. They do great things to keep music education alive here in Los Angeles, including quite a lot of full scholarships. They are raising funds in the hopes of expanding into a larger building.
