Australian graffiti artist SOFLES has become well known for these attention-grabbing time-lapse videos of his murals, shot and edited by Selina Miles. This latest one is a huge exterior wall, and it really comes to life at the end. Knockaround x POW! WOW!

I’m lucky enough to work pretty closely with San Diego-based sunglasses powerhouse Knockaround, who are a major sponsor of the POW! WOW! Hawaii art festival – for three years running now. T-Files 045: Nicole Reed

I’ve known Australian photographer Nicole Reed for a good few years now, mostly via her great work for Australian T-shirt journal, T-World. She’s easily one of the best photographers I know, and I have to thank Eddie Zammit, founder of “the world’s only T-shirt journal” (interviewed), for connecting us. He is a huge supporter of her work – Nicole accompanied him to the US several times to shoot portraits for the publication, shooting some of the biggest names in art, design, and streetwear in the process. Childish Gambino né Donald Glover is so talented it’s a little bit unfair really. He raps well, is an accomplished comedian, produces beats, and in “Sober,” come to find out, he’s got a great falsetto and the nice dance moves. So good.

Take It Easy

One week from today, LA-based artist Benjie Escobar will unveil a new body of work at the beautiful HutchLA boutique/gallery space in Verdugo Village, NELA. His latest work was inspired by the culture and lifestyle in East Los Angeles, and will include custom low rider bikes, original canvases, screen prints and original Benjie Escobar flash tattoos by Beautiful Truth Ink, with snacks from East Los Musubi.
