I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: I’m a pretty big fan of Stones Throw. In my humble opinion, they’re one of LA’s (if not the country’s) most interesting record labels. From the eclectic range of artists & releases, to the top-notch design & packaging, I’m consistently impressed that an indie company can keep on putting out so many winning releases. So I was pretty stoked when The Hundreds asked me to head over to Stones Throw HQ and interview the man who founded the label, Peanut Butter Wolf.

I got to interview the talented LA-based artist Gary Baseman for The Hundreds a little while back, and they’ve just posted up the interview. I went with Bobby (who shot the photo below), and we were lucky enough to get an extensive tour of Gary’s apartment & studio, with detailed anecdotes about each piece, and how he came about adding it to his collection. It was absolutely fascinating and he has an incredible collection of work by his contemporaries, but it made it kind of hard to conduct your usual Q&A…
