Being out of the country for a week was great, but I’ve fallen behind on keeping up with the blogosphere. That’s my excuse for only just reading about an interesting new exhibit which opened at the Hammer Museum in Westwood last week – Jacob Samuel: Outside the Box. The Hammer is showing off their newly acquired collection of the LA-based publisher’s prints, including work by Barry McGee. Via Design is Kinky.

My friend MR44 did some great lettering for some new Foreign Family products. Initially they look like kanji, but closer inspection reveals that they spell out the name of the brand. He goes into some detail about it on their blog. Also available at Digital Gravel.

The Movie title stills collection contains an astounding number of movie titles and  and end titles for bazillions of movies ranging from the ’20s through to the present. As such, it’s an excellent source for some great lettering over the decades. Via bad banana blog.
