Big Trouble in Little China

Last night I hit up the Choose Chinatown block party with the Foreign Family crew. The event was held by four great shops all located within the same outdoor shopping plaza: Lions Den, Ooga Booga, Welcome Hunters and Flock Shop. Foreign Fam had an art installation at Lions Den which is a well-stocked streetwear boutique with a great selection of clothing brands and sneakers, and young Phil Lumbang from Shepard Fairey’s Studio One had artwork on display in the “Art for Change” auction Flock Shop were doing. It was a lot of fun, and if you are in the heart of Chinatown, LA, these are all great shops full of creative products to check out.

Choose Chinatown.

The nice lights made me think of Lo-Pan.

The talented Phillip Lumbang’s contribution to Flock Shop’s Art for Change auction. Phil’s show at 554 Gallery last month completely sold out in a matter of hours!

MR44 did this window graphic for Lions Den’s new store – they just relocated and the new spot is great. Congrats to Ray and the Lions Den crew!

Their sick sneaker selection is arranged by color. Looks great on the black wall!

Ditto the t-shirts…

MR44 showed off a sample of the upcoming Foreign Family x Flip The Script x Selector varsity jacket, even though it really wasn’t that cold…

We rounded the night out with Pho across the road, followed by some drinks at Mountain Bar which is in the same plaza. The bouncers got all nervous when Johnny Punishment Worthless and Rob started sparring outside. Can’t really blame them…
