Kat and Roger of K&R Ceramics are having a very special Open Studio at their lovely space in Verdugo Village today. They don’t usually sell direct to the public so it’s a special chance to score some amazing pottery direct from the artisans/artists. Visit my friends next door at Hutch LA while you’re at it! I’ve posted about Kat and Roger’s great work before here.

I’m happy to present the latest T-Files interview with accomplished Angeleno artist Francisco Reyes Jr., a/k/a Never Made. Francisco is an accomplished artist/illustrator, and he also works at Studio Number One, alongside talent like Shepard Fairey and, formerly, Cleon Peterson. With Never Made, Francisco presents his creative vision across a wide range of items, including lapel pins, T-Shirts, sculptures, and limited edition screen prints. He has also worked with brands like REBEL8, Hurley, Primitive Skateboards, Epitaph, Hellcat Records and Urban Outfitters. Big thanks to our mutual friend Eddie Zammit, Melbourne’s own tee game Godfather, for connecting us earlier in the year. I’ve really enjoyed following Francisco’s art and design work, and was eager to learn more. [Read More]
Happy Monday. Finally made it over to Brand Library & Art Center in Glendale to check out the current art exhibition Nexus: Exploring The New Contemporary Art Movement, curated by the good people at Thinkspace Gallery. I’d never been to the library before, and it’s absolutely beautiful, set in a lovely park. The contributing artists for the current show includes major talent like Bumblebeelovesyou, Yoskay Yamamoto, CRYPTIK, Drew Merritt, Mark Dean Veca, and many more. . [View Gallery]

The event includes a performance by Lucien Shapiro, murals and installations by CRYPTIK, Bumblebeelovesyou, Yoskay Yamamoto, Drew Merritt, and more. And the long list of contributing artists roster is just as appealing.
