I Love Typography have put together an impressive post about the The Library of the Gutenberg Museum, in Mainz, which is named after Johannes Gutenberg, the inventor of movable metal type. The first books he printed were copies of the Bible, and according to my Dad, US Presidents are sworn in one of the few remaining Gutenberg Bibles.
